You can add your Double Hosting email account to the Gmail app (recommended) or the default Android email app. IMAP is the best choice for syncing across devices.
Adding via the Gmail App (Recommended)
- Open Gmail and tap the three lines menu
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Add account
- Choose Other
- Enter your email address and tap Next
- Select Personal (IMAP)
- Enter your password and configure server settings as below
IMAP and SMTP Settings
- Incoming server: mail.yourdomain.com β Port 993 β SSL/TLS
- Outgoing server: mail.yourdomain.com β Port 587 β STARTTLS
- Username: your full email address
Sync Frequency
After setup, configure how often the app checks for new mail. For real-time email, set sync to Push if supported, or Every 15 minutes. More frequent sync uses more battery.
