Double Hosting includes Softaculous, an auto-installer that lets you deploy WordPress in under a minute β no FTP or database setup required.
Step 1: Open Softaculous
Log in to cPanel and scroll to the Software section. Click Softaculous Apps Installer. You'll see a catalogue of applications β click WordPress.
Step 2: Configure the Installation
Click Install Now and fill in the settings:
- Choose Protocol: select
https:// - Choose Domain: select your domain
- In Directory: leave blank to install at the root
- Site Name and Description: enter your site details
- Admin Username and Password: choose something secure β avoid "admin"
- Admin Email: your email address
Step 3: Complete the Installation
Click Install at the bottom of the page. Softaculous will create the database, copy WordPress files, and configure everything automatically. This takes 30β60 seconds.
Step 4: Log In to WordPress
Once done, you'll see links to your new site and the WordPress admin panel (yourdomain.com/wp-admin). Log in with the credentials you set and start building your site.
Tip: Install a caching plugin like WP Super Cache or LiteSpeed Cache immediately to improve performance.
