Double Hosting automatically provisions free SSL certificates from Let's Encrypt for all domains on your account. This guide covers what to do if SSL isn't appearing or needs to be manually triggered.
Automatic SSL Provisioning
When you add a domain and DNS resolves correctly to your server, cPanel's AutoSSL provisions a Let's Encrypt certificate automatically within 10β20 minutes. No action needed on your part.
Running AutoSSL Manually
If SSL hasn't appeared after 30 minutes: go to Security > SSL/TLS Status in cPanel. Find your domain in the list and click Run AutoSSL. The log will show whether the certificate was issued or what error occurred.
Requirements for AutoSSL
- Your domain's DNS A record must point to your server's IP
- Port 80 must be accessible (not blocked by Cloudflare's proxy in some modes)
- Your domain must resolve publicly β local/test domains won't work
Cloudflare users: Temporarily set DNS records to DNS-only (grey cloud) when running AutoSSL, then re-enable the proxy.
