Connecting Your Domain to Your Hosting

To make your website accessible at your domain, you need to point the domain to your hosting server. This guide covers the two most common methods.

Step 1: Find Your Nameservers

Log in to your Double Hosting dashboard. Go to Account > Nameservers. You'll see two nameserver addresses (e.g., ns1.doublehosting.net and ns2.doublehosting.net). Copy these.

Step 2: Update Nameservers at Your Registrar

Log in to the registrar where your domain is registered (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains). Find DNS or Nameserver settings and replace the existing nameservers with the two Double Hosting nameservers. Save.

Alternative: Use an A Record

If you only want to point the domain's web traffic (not email, subdomains, etc.) to Double Hosting, you can instead add an A record pointing to your server's IP address. Find your IP in cPanel under Server Information.

Step 3: Wait for Propagation

DNS changes typically propagate within 1–4 hours, though full global propagation can take up to 48 hours. Once done, visiting your domain will load your Double Hosting website.

Tip: Use whatsmydns.net to check propagation status in real time from different global locations.
