Setting Up Your Domain Name

Your domain name is your website's address on the internet. This guide covers how to connect a domain to your Double Hosting account, whether you registered it with us or an external registrar.

Option A: Register a Domain with Us

During signup or from your dashboard, go to Domains > Register. Search for your desired domain name, add it to your order, and it will be automatically linked to your hosting account.

Option B: Use a Domain from Another Registrar

If your domain is registered elsewhere (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.), you need to point it to our nameservers. Your Double Hosting nameservers are shown in your dashboard under Account > Nameservers.

Update Your Nameservers

Log in to your registrar, find the DNS or Nameserver settings for your domain, and replace the existing nameservers with ours. Save the changes. Example nameservers:

ns1.doublehosting.net\nns2.doublehosting.net

Wait for Propagation

DNS changes take between 15 minutes and 48 hours to propagate worldwide. Most users see their site live within 1–2 hours. You can check propagation status at whatsmydns.net.

Note: Your SSL certificate will also be provisioned automatically once the domain resolves to our servers.
