Domain names must be renewed annually (or on the multi-year cycle you selected at registration). Understanding the expiry process helps you avoid losing your domain accidentally.
Auto-Renewal
By default, your domain is set to auto-renew 30 days before expiry using your payment method on file. We recommend keeping auto-renewal enabled. Check your renewal status from Domains in your dashboard.
What Happens When a Domain Expires
If a domain expires, it enters a Grace Period (typically 30 days) during which you can renew at the regular price. After that, it moves to a Redemption Period (up to 30 more days) where recovery is possible but at a higher redemption fee. After redemption, the domain is released for public registration.
Renewing a Domain Manually
Go to your dashboard, click Domains, and find the domain you want to renew. Click Renew and select the renewal term. Payment is charged immediately and the expiry date is extended.
